NSD layout #2

Here's the second page I made yesterday. These are photos of my nephew and niece on Christmas Eve.
The papers are by K & Co., they are Yuletide. I love them. They are really gorgeous to look at. My mom bought them at Christmas time and I inherited them.... **wink, wink**! The little elves were cut from the Jolly Holly Cricut Cart that I won from Theresa at The Scrapbooking Queen back in December!! Yeah Theresa, I love this cart!! I stamped them using Peachy Keen Stamps Princess Face Assortment and Boy Mates! Two of my faves!!

National Scrapbooking Day layout #1

I was thrilled to complete 5 pages yesterday. I have to admit, I do not scrap as much as I should and I feel lately like getting back to scrapping as much as I did back in '05 and '06! So, I was happy to take advantage of yesterday's NSD!!

Here is my first page. I used Making Memories Je t'Adore papers and Peachy Keen Stamps Wide Eyed Kids Faces! We caught my niece being silly while we were taking her photo on Valentines Day!!

A Birthday Princess Layout

I'm on a Princess roll....actually, I realized that my niece is turning four at the end of the month and I have not scrapped her third birthday party photos. So, I decided to scrap them now.

Since she had a Princess cake, I made six little princesses to go on the layout.

When I make the princesses this tiny I do not cut all the layers. Instead of cutting the teeny tiny eyes, mouths and jewelery, I use my white opaque gel pen to color them in. I colored in the mouths with a white gel pen, then I let them dry and lastly I went over the mouths again with a red gel pen. I used a Sakura Souffle pen to color in the jewelery on Belle and Jasmine. I added Stickles to the princesses for some sparkle.

Behind this panel is another photo from the day along with all the journaling. I decided to hide it using this folded photo mat. It is kept closed with a paper clip that I attached Snow White to.

I hope you like my Princess Catherine Birthday Layout!!
Thanks for stopping by!

New Peachy Keen Stamps Die

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to post a couple of cards that I made showcasing the New Peachy Keen Stamps Spring Release Duck and Egg Die!! This is the cutest little duck! When all cut out and assembled he stands approximately 3 and 1/2 inches tall. These PKS/Cottage Cutz dies cut like butter! I used my blue Cuttlebug but you can use them in most manual die cutting machines. Putting him together was super simple, just a little glue on his feather wings and little legs.

For both cards I used the American Crafts Confetti Collection which can also be found at the Peachy Keen Stamps website!

I made this first card for my dad. I just love the little sentiment from PK-266 Duck Dolls! It was perfect for my dad, "Get Well Ducky!" The AC Confetti paper is so cute along with their matching buttons and ribbon!

For this second card I also used the PKS-266 Duck Dolls for the sentiment and the sweet flower which I painted with my Twinkling H2O's.

I'm in love with this little Duck Die and you will be seeing more creations made with it here on my blog. If you would like a Duck Die of your own or would like to see any of the other PKS Spring Release dies, head over to their website at Peachy Keen Stamps and take a peek!

Mwahhh-Quack!!!

Royal Wedding Blog Hop winners!!

Hi Ladies and Gents!!
I was able to get 2 copies of the Royal Wedding Edition of the People magazine today! Yippee! It came out yesterday on the news stands. It is full of awesome photos and info!

Yesterday I spent the whole day at the Albany Medical Center Hospital. My dad had a catheterization and 4 stents placed in his heart.
The surgeon told us that they were not sure what they would find when they went in. He said they would either find nothing (meaning a false positive on the stress test/EKG) or a blockage. He also said if they found more than one blockage they might decide to do a bi-pass.
Well, they found four blockages (two of them were extremely tight) and ended up putting in 4 stents.
We were shocked. My dad has always been so healthy, no smoking etc. So, he then had to lay on his back for 6 hours because the incision site needed time to heal a bit before he could get up and walk around.
My mom made sure he was comfy, he ate his dinner and had a magazine and a box of cookies (my brother brought him). Then we left at 6pm.
Well, we stopped for gas on the way home and by the time we got home my dad had called from the hospital. He said they might release him that night...OMGosh!
So, at 10pm last night, my brother and I went back to the hospital and brought my dad home. Boy was he a happy camper!! He did NOT want to spend the night in the hospital! We are all very happy that he is home and on the mend!!

Now, on to the winners....

#21 Stephanie

and for the second set "My One and Only" from EMMA,

A Few Scrapbook Pages

Hi Everyone,
I haven't posted any scrapbook pages in such a long time. I thought I'd post some tonight. I did make a New Year's Resolution to scrapbook more. Unfortunately, I have not lived up to that but It is only April...so I can still make good on my resolution. And I know when the brand new Cricut Expression 2 comes out this month, I'll be scrapping like crazy!!

Any-hoo, here are a few pages that I've done this year!

This first layout is my favorite layout that I've done in a while. The top baby is my niece Catherine (2007) and the bottom baby is my nephew Colin(2004). I love how the Peachy Keen Stamps look on the little bunny rabbits. Sooooo sweet! The paper is from JoAnn's Nursery Rhyme Stack from a year or two ago.

I created the chess pieces using my Gypsy and watercolors. This was such a fun layout to create.

My little kitties from 2008 when they were babies. I love this Pink Paislee Sweetness paper! It's gorgeous! The kitty silhouettes are from A Child's Year and the font is the Gypsy Font.
This little snow angel girl is from Winter Frolic. I LOVE that cartridge. I think it's one of the most under rated Cricut Cartridge. I never really noticed it until last Christmas and I'm in love with it. These winter vintage papers are super old, I'm not even sure who made them.

This layout was super fun! I had just bought glimmer mist for the first time. So...I misted everything, the papers, the flowers, the ribbon, the lace...everything! FUN!!

Thanks so much for stopping by! See you next time! <3

Peachy Keen Stamps Spring Release!!!

It's Time, It's Time!!
It's time for the PKS Spring Release unveiling!!
I absolutely fell in love with this set. It's so perfect for masculine pages and cards. It would be perfect for vintage scrapbook pages and Father's day cards.

Not only does this set include a variety of mustaches and a goatee but it also has a variety of eyeglasses. It would be perfect for creating teachers, students, Grandparents and your favorite kid character such as Harry Potter, Arthur or Simon the Chipmunk. These eyeglasses would also look cute on a secretary for Secretary's Day.

The very first thing I thought of when I saw this set was the photos I took of my nephew watching a Laurel and Hardy movie. I knew that this moustache would make the perfect Oliver Hardy!

I had this idea for a vintage card using all the mustaches, a set of the eyeglasses and a monocle. I made the monocle by inking only half of the eyeglass stamp.

Now on with the HOP!!!
You may have hopped here from Lorie's blog, in that case you can keep going on to Janice. If you just stumbled upon us, here is the complete list so you can start back at the beginning. And don't forget to comment on all the gals blog posts to win!!
