Card Patterns Sketch #47
I book marked this cool card challenge blog last month. I thought I'd give their latest challenge a go. So here it is Card Patterns Sketch #47.
The pp's are Sassafrass Lass. I cut the tree with my cricut using zooballoo four times and layered it to give some dimension. The owls are from the coordinating set from Sassafrass.

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #20
Here is the first Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge of 2010. WoW, I can't believe I'm typing 2010!!
Ok, on to challenge #20.
The challenge was to create a purse or bag. I found the pattern for mine at Mel Stampz. She has a ton of awesome patterns!
I adhered my patterned paper to a piece of white cardstock. Then I cut the pattern out. This piece of patterned paper "Let it Snow" made by Over the Moon Press (E. K. Success) and has a title border running across the bottom. This border made a wonderful handle for my purse.
I stamped a border of snowflakes using Peachy Keen Large Snowflakes and Snow faces. Then I cut the border out with my craft knife, glittered it and adhered it to the front and sides of my purse. Next I stitched all around the edges of the purse with my Sulky Blendable thread!! I used straight stitch and zig zag. Next, I put my purse together using adhesives and attached the handle with adhesives and brads.
I cut the snowman from my Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge using my Design Studio to leave the face blank so I could stamp it. I stamped the face with the snowman from my Peachy Keen Stamps Christmas Character Face Assortment. I stamped the skarf for my snowman using Peachy Keen Stamps Snowman Doll Set and colored it in with my brand new Dove Blender Pen. I've never used one before but I've been wanting to try. I have to say, I love the blender pen! So easy to use!
I attached the little snowman and another snowflake that I stamped and cut out to the front of the purse and added lots of glitter!!
Hope you like it!!
