a Card for today

I just wanted to post this card that I made for my Uncle today. I used the SY-910 Hillbilly Holler Dog stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps. This set is soooo cute, with the sad, little hound dog and three sentiments it can be used for "get well" and "just thinking of you" cards!
I used water color paints to color it in.

PKS Challenge 36 : 3D Candle

Hi Peachy Friends, 

Here's the challenge for this Friday.
I had a few ideas for this challenge but then when I decided to use this large vanilla candle I knew right away what I wanted to do. I took the PK-132 Twick or Tweet Birdhouse stamp and stamped it in the middle of my paper. Then I stamped the spider web from PK-130 Spider and Web once on the left and once on the right side of the birdhouse. You can't see it from the photos but I then stamped a bird house on the other side of each spider web too. I wanted the houses and webs to wrap around the candle. I was a little short. If  were to do it again, I would stamp one more spider web.

 I used my water color paint on the little bird houses and webs! I used two straight pins to attach them to the candle.

 I then stamped the sweet little ghosts from PK-131 Happy Haunting Ghosts. I then used my hot glue gun to attach a straight pin to the back of each ghost. I stuck them into the candle.

**If you light your candle please be careful that any of your stamped paper images are far enough away from the flame that it does not catch on fire!!

For my Spooky Scrapbook page I used one of my favorite older sets, PK-632 Halloween Sweet Folks! This set is so versatile, it can be used for cards, scrapbook pages, altered items, tags, treat bags....there are so many possibilities! I painted each little creature, trimmed them out and adhered them to my page. I hope you like it, I sure did have fun making it!

Peachy Princess Farewell Blog Hop

Peachy Keen Challenge 32 - Sketch

Hi Peachy Friends,

It's time for another Peachy Keen challenge. This one was so inspiring for me...I was on quite the roll and I created three cards using this one sketch. I hope you like them...

For my first card I used PKSC-08 August 2012  for the teacher and PKSC-02 February 2012 for the Good Luck Sentiment. The 3rd Grade was also from PKSC-08 August 2012 Kit.

For this next card I used PK-125 Recess Jump Rope Girl for the little girl. I also used PK-128 School Bus and Lunch for the lunchbox and thermos. For the sentiment I used PK-126 Smartie the Owl and PKSC-02 February 2012.

 

For this last card I used The owl from PK-126 Smartie the Owl and the Happy Birthday sentiment from PK-123 Darren and Laura Lee.

Peachy Keen Challenge - #28 Anything Goes

For my anything goes, I made this double scrapbook page. I've been in such a "falltime", Halloween-ish mood lately. I had these photos from last Halloween and I had to scrap them with my Peachy Keen Stamps!!

 

I also decided to enter these pages in the County Fair. Here's Colin at the fair last week with my pages behind him!!

July's Peachy Keen Sneak Peeks!!

Good Morning and

Happy 4th of July!!

What a lovely day for some fun sneak peeks!!

These peeks are using the brand new PKS Stamp of the Month Kit for July!!

For this first page I used the super cute Raggedy Dolly! I paper pieced their little dresses and hair bows!

For this next page, I used this awesome banner stamp. I just love this stamp it can be used for so many things! I also used this sweet sunrise in the bottom corner!

For this card I used my absolute new favorite face on the little swimmer girl. This face just makes you want to smile!

On this card I used the super cute little boy from the set. I also used the ice cream cone from this set. I stamped each scoop in a different color to give them the look of different flavors. Fun!!

 

For this last card I used the sweet little girl with the pony tails. She's just to darling. Also, I used the companion raggedy boy that goes with the raggedy girl from my layout above. This set offers two different style faces for each dolly! Lovely!!

Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #24 {Color}

Hi Peachy Friends
What an exciting week with the sneak peeks of the brand new Stamp of the Month kit and the the release reveal and party next Tuesday!! It's going to be alot of fun and you are going to LOVE this new set! It's perfect for the upcoming summer months but so versatile it can be used right into the falltime!!
Well, on to the challenge...
This week's challenge is a color challenge using the most amazing photograph. This photo really gets me in the mood for summer and excited for the fair! Anyone who knows me knows that I'm in LOVE with the Fair! So this one is perfect for me!

And here is my take on the colors....

I used the beautiful fairy and little birds from the PKS SOTM kit June! I stitched, misted, painted and hand cut elements on this layout. I hope you like it and it inspires you to take our challenge!!

Here's mine... I used the PKSC-04 April 2012 Kit of the Month to stamp the super cute cupcake with party hat. Then I used the PK-105 Happy Hour set for the tiny cupcakes and sentiment. I masked the faces off of the cupcakes. I used a little bit of twine for around my cupcake and put her on an action wobble too!
