Easter Bunny Gift Bags

Hi Everyone,
I've got a video for you to hopefully inspire you to create something fun for the upcoming holiday.
I created these sweet little Bags using my Silhouette Portrait and an SVG cut that I got from SVG Cuts, called Easter Bunny Gift Bag. I stamped a Peachy Keen Face onto the bunny to make it extra cute and adorable! Peachy Keen Stamps PK-440 Cute and Cuddly Face Assortment
Hope you like my video!

A couple of layouts...

Here are a couple of pages that I've done recently.

The first one I put together at the monthly crop at my church. I used my Gypsy and my Cricut Expression. The cake was cut out of Simply Charmed and I used my Peachy Keen Stamps to give it a face, PK-640 Princess Face Assortment!! The title is the font Learning Curve also a Cricut Cartridge.

For the second layout I used my Silhouette Portrait to cut these adorable little puppy dogs. You can find the cut files for these little pups here at Bear Necessities

Silhouette Portrait and Peeps card

I've been thinking for a while about getting a Silhouette cutting machine. I love my Cricut but the ability to cut any font on my computer along with SVG's, not to mention being able to create and cut my own designs was just to strong a pull for me! I had to have one...

Well, it arrived a couple of weeks ago and I've been in heaven ever since. I adore this machine. It's tiny and compact which is nice. It's cutting ability is unbelievable! It will cut the most intricate designs with out even the tiniest tear of the paper!
I've been cutting lots of SVG's that I've gotten on the internet. I've also downloaded lots of icon fonts to cut. My favorite SVG site is Paper Piecings by Nikki. Her artwork is adorable and she offers a freebie every day! Another site that I love is Miss Kate Cuttable. She also offers a freebie every day!
Now, I've decided to try my hand at creating my own designs. I've watched a few youtube videos and downloaded Inkscape software which is free and enables you to create SVG's.
I started out by using a coloring page that I downloaded from the internet. I took it into Inkscape, cleaned it up and created this SVG to make my card. I have tons to learn but I am really enjoying the whole process and love the new freedom that my Silhouette Portrait gives me!

Here's my Peep's card....
The peeps and the title with the outline were all created in Inkscape and cut on my Silhouette Portrait!

Glittery Titles

I've been scrapping a few of my holiday photos and using these beautiful papers by TPC Studio called Sweet Christmas. The collection comes with an alphabet sticker sheet. The letters in the alphabet are larger than the average alpha sticker (about 1 3/4 inch tall)....so I decided to make some of my own smaller glitter alpha stickers to use along with them on my title.
First, I cut my title using the Cricut cartridge Learning Curve at 1 inch tall.
Then, I mixed about 1 teaspoon of Aleen's Tacky Glue with a few tablespoons of water and stirred it up really good (I used an old prescription bottle to mix the glue and water). Using a paint brush I covered each letter and then dipped the letter into some Martha Stewart fine red glitter.
I let the letters dry and then I took the same watered down glue and painted over the glitter letters one more time. This helped to seal in the glitter to keep it from getting all over the place.
After my letters dried, I attached them to my layout with Scotch Quick Dry liquid glue

I love the glittery effect and they go so nicely with the alpha stickers that came with the paper!!

I hope you liked this quick tip and thanks for stopping by!!

Winner of the PKS Fond Farewell Blog Hop

Hello friends-
The past couple of days have been a non-stop flurry of activity for me and I'm just now able to take a minute to announce the winner of the Fond Farewell blog hop! My family and I drove from Rochester NY to Clifton Park NY last night during the blizzard! It took us 6 hours. We are all home safe and sound. And so happy that we left last night because the snow has not let up!! We had to drive through white out conditions but at least it was at the beginning of the storm and the plows were out in full force!
OK...so on to the winner....

Congratulations....Lee-Ann

Peachy Challenge 48 : Anything Goes!

Good Morning Peachy Friends!
For today's challenge it's Anything Goes. Those are my favorite challenges because my mind can wander freely!! :)
For this challenge I used my PK-640 Princess Faces and PK-642 Boy Mates to create this sweet 50th Anniversary cake topper for my parents 50th Anniversary Party!
Here are a few photos of my parents. Their Wedding Anniversary is December 26th. We are having a party for them in the spring when all of their friends can travel here to attend. My Dad is a retired USAF Major and my mom is a retired elementary school teacher.  My parents have lived all across the country.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!

Peachy Keen Stamps December Release Sneak Peek!

Today is day 3 of the Peachy Keen Sneak Peeks!! I hope that you are enjoying all the wonderful creation's that the PKS DT have made.
For today's sneak peek I've created a card using PK-151 Gingerbread Bowl. This stamp reminded me of my family all squashed together because there are 8 little gingers in the bowl and 8 of us! And being from a Military family the sentiment rings true to me as well!

For my second card I used PK-154 Happy Dieting Snow People. I know that once I get through these holidays that will be a card that will lift my spirits and get me in gear!! Plus, it's just so darn cute!!

For my last card I used PKSC-12 December 2012 the Stamp Club kit of the month. This set is just fantastic, you will LOVE it!!

These stamps will be available for purchase from the Peachy Keen Stamps store right after the Release Party on the Peachy Keen Connection.

Come join us for some fun, games, and challenges at 7 pm EST.

30 Days of Christmas Cards - Day 29

Hello crafty friends,
WoW, did this month ever fly by! Here's card #29!
This card is a little different from most of the cards I make...no faces! :)
I used the fantastically awesome PK-157 Pendant Banner set from Peachy Keen Stamps! I LOVE this set, it has four different stamps that can be used in so many wonderful ways! I also used PK-156 Lucy's ABC's and 123's Solid set! This alphabet/number set is perfect for titles, captions and banners (of course), it's uses are endless!!
